Snake wine is made by infusing corpses of whole venomous snakes in rice wine or grain alcohol. The belief is that as the snake’s essence and venom dissolves into the wine, it promotes vitality and heals certain illnesses.

According to the distillers, the idea of infusing the gin with elephant dung came from realizing that elephants eat a lot of fruits and plants and yet digest only a third of it. The dung is collected, dried out and cleaned until the undigested fruits and plants remain. This is what’s added to the gin to give it some flavor, so enjoy!
