The KCSE 2019 results have just been released by the Cabinet Secretary of Education Prof. Magoha. This year, 627 candidates scored grade A while 125,746 candidates scored C+ and above in KCSE 2019 exams. If you were a KCSE 2019 candidate or know of one, here are the three ways you can get your results.

KCSE 2019 results will now be available for individual candidates through SMS. To get your results on SMS:

  • Open your messages or SMS app
  • Enter your 11-digit index number, into brackets, as well as the initials KCSE
  • Send the message to 20076

Each SMS will be charged 25 shillings and will work across all networks. If a message with your results doesn’t pop up immediately, it’s probably because there’s a lot of traffic. Just be patient and only try again when there is no other option to avoid unnecessary spending.

This option will only be available to school principals. To get the results, they’ll simply need to log in to the KNEC portal, download their schools results and print them. It will also be up to the principals to verify the resuts and make sure everything is okay.

In Person

If you have the time, another option for getting your KCSE 2019 results is to simply go back to your examination centre. Since schools are closed now, this will probably be best one from January onwards.
