Kawira Mwangaza, Meru Woman Representative, redefined humility in her latest move by wear a school uniform while donating school uniforms to needy students.
In a Facebook post, Kawira made her intentions of visiting over 135 public primary schools and donating uniform to over 3,500 children while at it.
An ambitious Kawira had this to say, “I thank Jehovah God for the opportunity to serve my people. I have been going around the entire Meru County mashinani. I have been meeting extremely poor school-going children (living with disabilities) facing many challenges, our kids are wearing tattered and torn beyond repair uniforms.”
Kawira further added, “God receive all the glory as l start my journey house to house, school to school, to meet my kids.”
This is not the first time a high profile personality has been spotted wearing a school uniform.
Last year, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa presided over the opening of a school in his constituency, wearing a brown patched short, white shirt, a tie and walked barefoot.
Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta also showed up at his alma mater St Mary’s School adorned in the school uniform in October of last year.
