The year is 2019, a tweet by @Osumo_brad seeking to promote his fish selling business, The Big Fish, causes an online stir on Twitter. The publicity he bagged from this tweet marked the change of fortune for his fish selling restaurant.
Unknown to many, @Osumo_brad as he is popularly known on Twitter studied Biochemistry at Kenyatta University. He cleared his education in 2016 before he joined his sister at her fish selling business which she did as a side hustle to complement her day job as a teacher.
On seeing the profitability of the side hustle, they decided to jointly open The Big Fish restaurant behind Mountain Mall along Thika Road. Like every beginning, the business was slow at first. However, this took a turn after a tweet seeking to promote his business went viral changing the fortune of this small enterprise.
Since then The Big Fish restaurant has bagged a loyal legion of followers who have continued to spread the good word about the restaurant and the great food it serves. This restaurant has become so popular that it is now termed as an article of urban Nairobi culture. Alongside matatus and graffiti of course.
