Magadi is one of them, and you can even go for a picnic at Olorgesaillie. In addition, you can also pay a visit to the Magadi natural hot springs which are about 88kms from Rongai.

You might not have been to Athi River in a long time, but Lukenya is definitely where you want to go on your next solo drive. This amazing getaway offers you spectacular views of the city, especially when you go hiking and rock climbing in Lukenya hills. The surrounding Athi plains is also home to a variety of wild animals which you may spot, including zebras and giraffes.

You’ve probably heard of or been to Ngong hills before. Located about 25km from Nairobi city, this is a great spot for a solo drive. You can go hiking if you want to, where you can see panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley and Nairobi city from the top. You can also pay a visit to the Ngong hills forest and view interesting wildlife such as porcupine, dik-diks and buffaloes.
